This is the introduction I wrote for the book:  I fell in love with photography when my husband purchased a “fancy” camera as a birthday gift for me in anticipation of an African safari.  Once I recognized the incredible joy I experienced photographing leopards, zebras, lions and other amazing animals, I was hooked.  Unfortunately, for the last year, I have been ill and have not been able to get out much for photo shoots.  I started missing photography in a big way, so I set up a photo studio in a spare bedroom and worked on flower photography.  I fell in love with photography when my husband purchased a “fancy” camera as a birthday gift for me in anticipation of an African safari. I felt bursts of joy doing this photography, and it became a wonderful coping mechanism to deal with my chronic pain and exhaustion.  I decided to title this book “Kisses of Joy” since that is how I experienced taking the photos and putting this book together.  I have seven themes in this book.  The first is “Kisses,” where I take a large flower and place on top of it a much smaller flower as an accent or “kiss.” The Second theme is “Colors of Joy,” and focuses on flowers with strong colors.  The Third theme is “Waterdrop Kisses,” which contains flowers with an added element of waterdrops.  The Fourth theme is “Dreams of Joy,” which contains flowers photographed in a dreamy, soft manner (using a very large aperture and/or the Velvet 56 lens). The Fifth theme is “Musical Kisses,” where I add musical elements to the photos.  The Six theme is “Whimsical Joy,” and contains unusual flowers or flowers presented in an unusual manner.  The last Theme is “Dinner Party Flower Arrangements.”  Please Enjoy!!!

If you do look through the book, I would be extremely grateful if you could let me know which 2 or 3 flowers or quotes you liked the best.  I am always interested in what resonate most with people.  Thank you very much!
